In this task, I needed to choose a portrait, observing the color palette and trying to implement a similar approach on my drawing.
I chose this artwork as my observing reference Hugh Culling Eardley Childers
The reason that I selected this portrait was because the peaceful and warm vibe, especially the sunlight coming from back creating several sharp light area on the man, I felt that was a good way to highlight the figure of the whole scene and made it stand out from the background. The color palette used in this artwork was mainly warm tone, with some high saturation green in the background made the grass and trees behind the figure looked full of vigour.
Below was the reference I found on Pinterest, since it had similar color palette so it would also be easier for me to draw.

In order to creating more common color palette, I ignored the cold tone that came from left, thus the overall looked in the same warm tone.
