PBR Exercise

In this exercise we have to use Photoshop and Unreal to create some simple materials. I tried to make three materials with the photos (also modified a little bit such as adding another png image to make the scuffed texture or flake away texture) Then I used Adjustments in Photoshop to make different texture maps and finally stored each of them in different channel. albedo(RGB channel)/roughness(G channel)/metalness(B channel) albedo&normal(RGB channel)/roughness(G channel)/metalness(B channel) albedo(RGB channel)/roughness(G channel)/metalness(B channel) Afterwards, I connected the nodes in Unreal and below were the process and the final result. Practical Task - Realism and Art Nouveau

Inthe task I had to produce a full length portrait of a clothed figure in color. I picked the photo refeerence on Pinterest and I chose to use color pencils to do the task. I felt that in the process I knew how to blend the color better. Color pencils aren't like water color that we can mix the color until we feel that's right before painting on the paper. I had to analyze the combination of color first and chose several simliar color pencil to draw layer by layer. Reference ( from Pinterest) As for the color palette I hardly used black, since I wanted to make the whole piece look vibrant and warm, I referenced the shadow of the white shirt and hat, which was blue blending with purple. I also tried to use the combination to paint the shadow on the ground instead of black so that the tone of all in the scene was consistent. Backyard Slice - Formative Submission

Here is what I've done so far, I still have a lot texturing works need to finish. Texel Density in 3dsmax I used the 512per square meter sheets to check that everything looked right and have equal resolution before I put them into Unreal. Below were some materials I made in Substance Designer. Plaster (Basically for the wall) This was the material I used for the basic building, I add some cracks and divots to make it looks natural but not adding too much because I don't want it look like a ruin. Plaster (Without divots and obvious cracks) And this one is the base material for some other structures of the building such as the awning above the door or the frame of the windows. Since I'm planning to put them into Zbrush to sculpt some patters and add some dirts around the edge, so this plaster material is simpler than the one with divots.
