After finding some references based on the story, I thought that my vehicle would use steam engine, and since the vehicle should carry a lot of goods and supplies, I also found some carriage photos to support my idea.

Below were some side view concepts I sketched, in this stage I focused more on the interesting shape of the vehicle and also the combination of where the engine and the weapon should be placed.
